Daiga joined Sterling Law in May 2014 while studying at London Metropolitan University Bachelor’s degree of Diplomacy and Law which she successfully graduated in June 2015 with Upper Second-Class Honours. Daiga further developed her theoretical knowledge by studying a Postgraduate Graduate Diploma in Law which she graduated in July 2016.
Daiga completed her OISC Level 1 exams in December 2015 and is currently working towards obtaining her Level 2 regulation in order to undertake more complex aspects of UK immigration casework.
During her five years of working in Sterling & Law Associates LLP, Daiga has gained experience in a wide range of areas such as family and partner-related cases, applications made under the EU Regulations, visitor visas, such as general, family and business visitors, and assisting in appeals to the First Tier Tribunal and Upper Tribunal in complex matters.
Despite having a varied case working background, Daiga is particularly interested in European Union Immigration law and has developed sufficient background of knowledge in this field. Daiga is confident in handling all aspects of EU law cases from initial advice to visa application, such as family reunion of spouse and children, dependent and extended family member’s applications, and enjoys building friendly client relationships.
Daiga is dedicated to ensuring her client’s best interests are the main priority in her work ethic and her flexible approach to each client’s needs ensures they feel well looked after throughout the entire process. Her dedication to attention to detail ensures no task is completed half-heartedly.
Daiga is fluent in English, Russian and Latvian languages.
