From Ukrainian Stage to London: Successful Entry for Renowned Music Duo

    28.10.2025

Sterling Law was recently instructed by a well-known Ukrainian hip-hop duo who were invited to perform at a cultural event in London. The request came with a tight deadline, leaving our team very little time to prepare and submit the necessary documentation.

Our clients, talented Ukrainian artists recognised for their energetic performances and music that blends street culture with themes of strength, victory, and resilience, were invited by a UK-based event organiser to perform at a one-night show in London. The event was set to take place before a large audience, marking their first performance in the United Kingdom.

Despite the urgency, our team acted quickly to prepare a comprehensive application supported by evidence of the artists’ professional activities in Ukraine, media coverage, public performances, and event details from the UK organisers. We ensured that the application clearly demonstrated the short-term nature of the visit, the purpose of the engagement, and the artists’ strong personal and professional ties to their home country.

While visitors to the UK are generally not permitted to receive payment for performances during short-term stays, certain professional engagements allow for limited paid activities under specific visa routes. In this case, our team identified and pursued the correct immigration pathway that lawfully allowed the artists to perform in the UK for their scheduled event.

The application was handled by Tetiana Deren and Daria Kotkova, whose prompt and coordinated work ensured that the clients were able to secure their entry clearance on time and perform in London as planned.

At Sterling Law, we assist international professionals and creatives who wish to come to the UK for short-term projects, performances, and collaborations. Our team provides tailored advice and prepares detailed applications, even under strict time constraints.

If you or your organisation are planning a cultural, artistic, or professional event in the UK, contact Sterling Law for expert immigration support to make your project a success.
