Client Acquisition Executive — Legal Tech / Immigration Compliance (B2B)
At Sterling Law, we believe in nurturing talent, fostering growth, and building a team of dedicated legal professionals who are passionate about making a difference in the field of law. As a leading firm specialising in immigration law, we offer a dynamic and collaborative work environment where innovation and expertise thrive.

Remote (UK-based) · Full-time
We’ve built something our clients have been asking for Sterling Max — a compliance platform that lets sponsor-licence holders discharge their Home Office duties through a single dashboard, with one of our immigration lawyers always in the loop. It connects our legal team directly to the client’s HR function, on a monthly subscription, with fixed fees for Skilled Worker and dependant visas and for Global Talent.
Now we’re taking it to market, and we’re looking for one commercially sharp person to own that mission end to end.
You’ll be Sterling Law’s first dedicated commercial hire for Sterling Max — a genuine one-person growth engine. You’ll stand up and run an AI-enabled sales and marketing stack, build a pipeline of fast-growing tech startups and scaleups that hold (or are applying for) a sponsor licence, run the demos, close the subscriptions, onboard the clients, and report the numbers straight to management.
This suits someone who sells consultatively and loves building the machine behind the sales — automations, sequences, CRM dashboards — rather than waiting for leads to land.
You’ll thrive here if you:
- Have a track record in B2B sales or business development, ideally in SaaS, legal/HR tech, or professional services
- Generate your own pipeline and close recurring-revenue deals
- Are hands-on and confident deploying AI and automation tools, not just using them
- Can hold a credible conversation with a founder, a Head of People, or a COO
Immigration knowledge is a real plus, but we’ll train the right person on the technical detail. What we can’t train is hunger, autonomy and commercial instinct.
Job description
Job title: Client Acquisition Executive
Reports to: Firm management (Director level)
Location: Remote (UK-based), with occasional travel for client meetings and demos
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Package: Competitive base + uncapped commission, with a ramped quota and income protection during the first 3–6 months
Purpose of the role
Own the commercial pipeline for Sterling Max from end to end. Find, win and onboard SME and scaleup clients that hold — or are applying for — a UK sponsor licence, with a focus on fast-growing technology businesses. The platform is sold on a monthly subscription, supported by an immigration lawyer in the loop, with fixed fees for Skilled Worker visas and dependants and for Global Talent.
This is a single-person commercial function. You will design and run the AI-enabled sales and marketing engine, generate and qualify leads, deliver demos, close deals, onboard clients, and report performance to management.
Key responsibilities
Pipeline generation & AI tooling
- Deploy, configure and maintain the firm’s AI-enabled sales and marketing stack — CRM, outbound email/LinkedIn sequencing, lead enrichment, scheduling, and AI SDR/agent tools.
- Build and continuously refine target lists of UK businesses holding or seeking a sponsor licence, prioritising tech startups and scaleups.
- Run multichannel outbound and inbound nurture, using AI to scale personalisation while keeping messaging accurate, compliant and on-brand.
Sales & demos
- Qualify leads against the ideal client profile and their sponsor-licence status; manage opportunities through the pipeline to close.
- Deliver compelling demos that connect Sterling Max and the lawyer-in-the-loop service to each client’s sponsor compliance duties and pain points.
- Negotiate and close subscription agreements plus fixed-fee arrangements (Skilled Worker, dependants, Global Talent).
Onboarding & handover
- Onboard new clients onto the platform and coordinate the handover to the immigration legal team and the client’s HR function.
- Act as the first commercial point of contact, ensuring a smooth start and strong early retention.
Reporting & revenue operations
- Keep CRM data clean and current; build and present pipeline, conversion and revenue dashboards to management.
- Track and report KPIs — leads, demos, win rate, MRR/ARR, customer acquisition cost, churn — and recommend improvements to the funnel and tooling.
Brand, conduct & compliance
- Represent Sterling Law professionally and keep all marketing within SRA advertising and conduct rules.
- Sell the service without giving regulated legal advice — refer technical immigration questions to the legal team.
- Ensure outreach, data sourcing and storage comply with UK GDPR and PECR.
Targets & what success looks like
First 6–12 months (ramped — building the engine from zero):
- A functioning, documented AI-enabled sales stack the firm can rely on.
- A predictable flow of qualified, on-profile opportunities.
- Approximately 16 new subscription clients / c.£225,000 in new revenue (ramped Year 1 target).
Steady state (Year 2 onward):
- Approximately 30 new subscription clients / c.£400,000 in new revenue per year.
Targets to be confirmed once final pricing is locked; Year 1 is deliberately ramped to reflect a standing start with no existing pipeline.
