Client wishing to go through the Exceptional Promise route, instead obtained Global Talent
25.10.2022
Mr. Ruslan Kosarenko and Ms. Aliya Rimshelis from Sterling law have achieved success on the Global Talent Visa front yet again!
We applied for endorsement to Tech Nation for one of our clients wishing to go through the Exceptional Promise route to obtain a Global Talent visa. He had stellar records to his credit, both academic as well as professional and was seeking to expand the ambit of opportunities available to him to excel in his field.
However, much to our as well as our client’s shock, Tech Nation reverted with a refusal. While accepting that our client satisfied the mandatory criteria and one of the optional criteria, Tech Nation refused endorsement on the grounds that our client did not meet the requirements of Optional Criterion 2 (“At least 1 example of proof of recognition for work beyond the applicant’s occupation that contributes to the advancement of the field”).
Undeterred, our lawyers filed a review and drew the reviewer’s attention to several invitations received by our client to speak at conferences and lecture series organised by eminent research institutes and universities around the world. The review was successful and our client and his family is now en route to completing their visa formalities!
