Great News for Our Client – Refugee Status Granted!

14.05.2025
We are delighted to share a successful outcome for one of our clients, who has now been formally recognised as a refugee under the 1951 Refugee Convention.
The client was last granted leave to enter the United Kingdom on a Seasonal Worker visa in 2021. Unfortunately, his visa expired, and he remained in the UK after that.
Despite the complexity of the case and the client’s prior immigration history, our legal team — namely Mykola Koval and Diana Bondarenko — provided thorough and dedicated support throughout the process. Thanks to their professionalism and in-depth knowledge of asylum law and Home Office procedures, they could submit strong evidence and a compelling representation on the client’s behalf.
The client explained that his fear of persecution stems from his political opposition to the current authorities in his home country. He believes that, if returned, he would be targeted because of his political views. In 2024, the client submitted his asylum application in the UK.
In May 2025, the Home Office accepted that the client has a well-founded fear of persecution and cannot safely return to his country of origin. As a result, he has now been granted refugee status in the United Kingdom.
This positive result clearly demonstrates that even in complex cases involving immigration rule breaches, expert legal representation can play a critical role in securing safety and protection for those genuinely at risk.
If you or someone you know needs legal advice or support with an immigration matter, our experienced team is here to help.
