Update: Changes to the Tech Nation Global Talent Application Process

On the 4th of August, the Tech Nation Global Talent endorsement application process changed. The Previous form and portal were taken down, and the process is now carried out on the government website via an updated version of the standard Home Office Stage 1 Endorsement form. The change is coming about to bring digital technology applications in line with other Global Talent applications, which all use the Home Office form. Any information or files left on the portal will no longer be accessible.
Potential applicants now must use this form in order to submit their Global Talent endorsement applications to Tech Nation, rather than Tech Nation’s previous platform. The changes listed above are for the application process only, and Tech Nation remains the endorsing body for the digital technology route of global talent.
As noted by the Tech Nation website, the criteria for endorsement will remain the same, with applicants still needing to satisfy the mandatory criteria and at least two optional criteria. Three referees are still required; however in the new form, less background information on them is required. Tech Nation and the Home Office have jointly agreed that the previous fast-track option for accelerator applicants is no longer effective. As a result, the fast-track option is no longer available on the new form. Any endorsement reviews will continue to be submitted via the application form available on the government website, then processed by Tech Nation, the same as the existing process.
