Granting Indefinite Leave to Remain Amidst Psychological Abuse
Our client, a Russian national, initially sought our assistance with a spouse visa. She arrived in the UK in 2020 to join her husband. However, over time, the relationship between the couple deteriorated, subjecting our client to psychological and emotional abuse. Despite not reporting the abuse to the police, we gathered other forms of evidence, including a letter from a psychologist and witness statements, to support her case.
We diligently prepared an explanation and provided legal representation, emphasising the reasons why our client deserved to be granted indefinite leave to remain in the UK. We meticulously crafted a persuasive case, drawing attention to the mental and emotional toll the abuse had taken on our client.
Despite the challenges and limited evidence, our efforts bore fruit. Just 2 months after submitting the application, our client was granted indefinite leave to remain in the UK. This successful outcome ensured that our client could move forward and rebuild her life.
At Sterling Law, we are committed to protecting the rights and well-being of our clients. In cases of psychological abuse, we understand the sensitivities involved and work tirelessly to provide compassionate legal support. Our experienced team is dedicated to achieving favourable outcomes for our clients’ immigration needs.
