Sterling Law Secures Full Refund and Enforcement Costs for Client from Westminster City Council

We are pleased to announce a significant success achieved by Kyrylo Sudnyk and Michael Iatsukha, acting on behalf of a tenant who was erroneously issued with a liability order by Westminster City Council. Although the alleged debt was in fact owed, if at all, by the Client’s landlord, our Client found themselves facing unwarranted enforcement action.

Despite having no legal responsibility for the amount claimed, our Client was placed under considerable pressure to pay the alleged debt. Drawing on our comprehensive understanding of local authority processes and business rates regulations, we prepared a robust legal defence clearly demonstrating that our Client bore no liability.

As a direct result of our representation, the full amount of the liability order was refunded. In addition, the enforcement costs were reimbursed by the enforcement agent, recognising that the Client had been wrongly subjected to enforcement action.

This outcome underscores Sterling Law’s commitment to defending clients against unjust claims and ensuring that no undue burden is placed upon those without legitimate liability. If you or your business require any advice or representation regarding liability orders, business rates, or related matters, please contact Sterling Law. Our team stands ready to provide practical, expert guidance to safeguard your interests.
