About Michael

Michael a UK-qualified solicitor with strong training and experience working with a range of start-ups, in-house lawyers, founders and businesses in a variety of industries. Michael has a passion for all things tech and an insatiable curiosity and the drive to assist his clients to build their businesses. He has a commercial mindset and a good exposure to VC fundraising work.
 
Michael is also a Head of Legal reporting directly to the CEO at the Legal Tech startup (part of Sterling Law Group) where he advises on its development strategy, venture-capital investment rounds, negotiates with the likes of vendors, clients and investors, while supporting internal stakeholders includes sales, finance, HR and operational teams.
Michael has vast experience of working in a busy legal practice on a wide variety of matters as well as commercial expertise gained through founding and running his own business. Michael is also familiar with an extensive number of aspects of Blockchain technology. Michael has a track record in building and managing strong relationships with high-profile clients and successfully dealing with complicated litigation cases with exceptional client satisfaction rates.

 

Cases Michael worked on

  • Acting in a Commercial Court claim on a loan agreement arising out of the acquisition of several Kazakhstani agricultural companies, raising allegations of illegality under Kazakhstani law.
  • Dealing with recovering the unpaid debt of £1m through commercial litigation.
  • Dealing with multiple cases against various banks and requesting for accounts to be unfrozen. In the most recent case, the Client’s account was frozen and the amount of $93,848.08 was blocked for almost two months. We issued a pre-action letter against Revolut and have successfully managed to recover the whole amount and transfer it to another bank.
  • Helped multiple start-ups to go through the whole journey, which started at the idea level and reached round B.
  • Michael helped multiple companies with corporate structuring, required website documents (Privacy Policy, T&C, Cookies), investment agreement, convertible loans, ASA and SAFE
