About Anna

Anna Shvetsova holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, Kyiv and a Master of Laws (LLM) from King’s College London. Her academic background provides a comprehensive foundation in Ukrainian and international law, with a strong emphasis on commercial law and dispute resolution.
Since January 2025, Anna has been a Paralegal at Sterling Law in London, focusing on commercial law and immigration law. She successfully handles small claims, manages commercial disputes, and drafts contracts for large businesses. From September 2023 to September 2024, Anna worked as a Junior Associate at an international arbitration firm. Anna played a pivotal role in two landmark cases: leading the representation of a client in a high-profile commercial arbitration under LCIA rules in London and spearheading the defence of the state of Ukraine in a high-stakes investment arbitration under SCC rules. She has also gained an experience of drafting key procedural documents across LCIA, LMAA, SCC, ICC, UNCITRAL, and ICSID frameworks.

From March 2021 to July 2023, Anna was a Junior Associate at Commercial Law practice at a leading law firm in Kyiv. She managed complex commercial disputes and gained extensive experience in dispute resolution through active involvement in court proceedings. From March 2022 to December 2024, Anna worked as a Translator and News Editor at CBS-News in London, where she honed professional Ukrainian-English translation skills, producing accurate translations of interviews, government statements, and press releases. Fluent in English, Ukrainian, French, and Russian, she navigates easily through various legal frameworks. Anna excels in commercial law, dispute resolution, and immigration law.
