Successful Outcome: Short-Term Study Visa Granted Despite Complex Circumstance

14.04.2025
We are pleased to share a successful outcome for one of our clients who was recently granted a UK short-term study visa, allowing her to begin her English language course on time.
A UK short‑term study visa is a temporary visa for people aged 16 and over who want to study English in the UK on a course that lasts more than six months and up to 11 months. The visa lets you stay for the length of your course plus 30 days, but never longer than 11 months in total.
Our client, a woman in her early 30s, faced several challenges that placed her application in a higher-risk category. Short-term study visas are often scrutinised more closely for applicants over 30, and in this case, the client was financially dependent on her parents for tuition and living expenses. To further complicate matters, the required funds had to be transferred across jurisdictions to demonstrate clear accessibility—an essential element in meeting the visa requirements.
The case was under consideration for nearly 10 weeks, during which we submitted multiple follow-up requests. We were fully prepared to initiate pre-action protocol due to the prolonged delay.
Thanks to our persistence and strategic case management, the visa was approved just in time. Our client is now able to pursue her goal of studying English in the UK—a dream she can finally realise.
This case is a reminder that with the right guidance and determination, even challenging applications can lead to successful outcomes.
