About Nadezhda
Nadezhda is a dual-qualified lawyer and a Solicitor, qualified in England and Wales. Her practice focuses on commercial dispute resolution, commercial law, start-ups, intellectual property and technology-related matters.
She advises businesses, company founders, technology entrepreneurs, start-ups, designers, creators and other rights holders on commercial disputes, contractual and corporate matters, and the protection, enforcement and commercialisation of intellectual property.
Nadezhda particularly enjoys working with clients from the early stages of a business or new venture, helping them put the right legal and commercial foundations in place from the outset. She values building long-term relationships with her clients and supporting them as their businesses and ideas develop, grow and become commercially valuable.
Nadezhda has experience across both contentious and non-contentious matters, including cross-border disputes, litigation, arbitration and ADR, legal negotiations, debt recovery, commercial agreements, corporate documentation and intellectual property enforcement.
Legal Practice
Nadezhda advises clients across a range of commercial and intellectual property matters, with particular experience in:
- Commercial Dispute Resolution: Acting on contractual and cross-border disputes, including pre-action strategy, litigation, legal negotiations, settlement discussions and enforcement proceedings. Her experience includes matters involving LCIA arbitration, Construction ADR and AviationADR, as well as proceedings before the Technology and Construction Court.
- Start-ups, Founders & Growing Businesses: Advising start-ups, company founders and technology entrepreneurs on commercial agreements, corporate documentation, intellectual property protection and legal risk management.
- Commercial & Corporate: Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements and corporate documentation, including software development, services, consultancy, supplier and licensing agreements, shareholders’ agreements and directors’ service agreements. She advises on contractual risk, liability, confidentiality, intellectual property and termination.
- Intellectual Property: Advising on trade marks, copyright, domain names, IP ownership and assignments, licensing, confidential information, trade secrets and brand protection.
- IP Enforcement & Brand Protection: Advising on trade mark, copyright and patent infringement matters, passing off, impersonation and unauthorised use of brands and identities, including cease-and-desist letters, pre-action correspondence, legal negotiations and settlement.
- Technology, IT & AI: Advising technology businesses and entrepreneurs on software and technology-related agreements, IP ownership, confidentiality, commercialisation and IT & AI-related legal and regulatory matters.
- Debt Recovery: Advising businesses and individuals on debt recovery, including Letters Before Action, negotiations, court proceedings, settlement and enforcement strategy.
Intellectual Property
Nadezhda has a particular interest in intellectual property law and holds an LLM in Intellectual Property Law from Queen Mary University of London.
