Lamiia Israilova completed her bachelor’s degree (LLB) in Laws with advanced study of Chinese language and the law of the PRC at Saint Petersburg State University. In September 2023, she completed her master’s degree in International Commercial Law (LLM) at City, University of London.
Lamiia has a rich experience in various areas of law. During her academic journey at City, University of London, she was engaged in pro bono work as a Housing Disrepair Student Adviser at the Community Legal Advice Centre in London, where she assisted clients in navigating housing issues. Furthermore, Lamiia gained experience as a Junior Lawyer in Russia, specialising in Commercial Law. She provided comprehensive legal support to both commercial enterprises and startup projects.
Lamiia speaks five languages: Azerbaijani, Chinese, English, Russian, and Turkish.
Lamiia joined the Sterling team in August 2023 as a Legal Assistant in the Immigration department, where she assists solicitors with various immigration matters.
