Elnur Suleymanov is the Director of Business Development at Sterling Law. He graduated with qualifications as an International Economist and also holds a qualification in Legal Regulation of Economy. Elnur also holds an MBA degree in Strategic Management.
Prior to joining Sterling Law, he gained vast experience in various fields. His professional career started in the banking sector in 1996. Since 2001, he has turned his career path to the insurance field. During his 13 years in the insurance sector, he worked for well-known leaders of the sector Allianz SE in different management positions, achieving Sales Director, Deputy CEO, and Member of the Board for Allianz Russia. After a long journey within Allianz SE, he became CEO of a top-five insurance company in Russia – Soglasie Group. His new career chapter continued with the World Bank and the UNDP leading different projects focused essentially on social protection and SDG Agenda in his home country – Azerbaijan. In between, Elnur had a duty within the government of Azerbaijan in the position of Employment Policy and Demography department director, being highly involved and leading various reforms held within the sector between 2016-2020.
His excellent education in combination with extensive work experience in different fields and sectors like banking, insurance, leading international organizations as well as large experience gained in the public and private sectors makes him a valuable asset for Sterling Law’s further business development.
